We are actively looking to invest in startups in the PropTech space including Big Data, IoT, Hardware, Future of Work, Coworking, Social Media, SaaS, that are looking to grow or expand their base in the Asia-Pacific region.

Ecosystem Development

Our investment thesis doesn't end with writing a check, we believe in developing an ecosystem in the tradtional and high-tech industries allowing us to help you reach further through our network to some of the biggest companies in the world.

Partnerships

50% of scaling is working with the right partners, at Dimsum Ventures we work to develop sandboxes and labs with corporate partners to help get you the footprint you need to launch products faster and more effectively.

Education

We also help corporates in all shapes and sizes get educated on the biggest technologicsal shift to traditional property businesses and workforce infrastructure through inter-office conferences and knowlege exchange seminars.

Who Are We?

  • Gene was the General Manager of Citymapper in Hong Kong. Prior to Citymapper, Gene co-founded StartupsHK, and has been heavily involved in building up the startup community in Hong Kong. Gene received his BS and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University as well as MBA from Columbia University.

  • Pokman has held various investment banking positions with Citigroup, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and UBS. He has 9+ years' private equity and investment banking experience in corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financings across Asia Pacific region.
